Fix this first: Nurture and Qualify. People who don't book straight away drift off, and you can't tell who's serious.

Sound familiar?

You're not short of interest. You're losing it somewhere you can't see.

You reply when you get to it, between sessions, travel and the retreat you're already running.

Someone asks for the price, you send it, and they vanish.

You follow up once, maybe twice. After that it feels pushy, so you stop.

"Let me check with my partner." You never hear back, and you never ask.

You know roughly who's interested, but it lives in your head and your WhatsApp.

You can't say which post, platform or partner actually fills the room.

Every one of those is a booking that was nearly yours. The quiz shows you which ones are happening in your business, and in what order to fix them.

What 32 retreat founders told us

The problem isn't the retreat. It's what happens after someone asks about it.

22 of 32

reply to a new enquiry personally, "when I get to it". Nothing goes out the moment someone asks.

22 of 32

have no follow-up sequence. They follow up when they remember, once or twice, or not at all.

22 of 32

couldn't show you their warm leads without guessing, thinking about it or checking several places.

5 of 32

scored "Controlled". The other 27 are losing bookings at one stage or more.

Here's why that matters. 23 of the 32 get fewer than 10 enquiries a month. 23 of them charge £1,000 or more a place.

When enquiries are this scarce and this valuable, one that goes quiet isn't a lost lead. It's an empty room. You don't need a bigger audience. You need fewer enquiries going quiet.

What the quiz measures

Five stages between "Is this still available?" and a paid deposit.

A booking has to get through all five. Most founders are strong at one or two and leaking at the rest, without knowing which.

01

Capture

How enquiries reach you, and whether they all end up in one place.

Do any slip through between Instagram, WhatsApp and email?
02

Acknowledge

How fast people hear back, and whether your first reply tells them what happens next.

Does someone who asks on Sunday night hear from you on Sunday night?
03

Nurture and Qualify

What happens to people who don't book straight away, and whether you can tell who's serious.

Who follows up when they say "let me think about it"?
04

Hand to Human

Whether interested people get a conversation with you before they pay.

Do they get a call, or just a checkout link?
05

Visibility

Whether you can see your enquiries, calls and deposits as numbers.

Could you say how many enquiries became bookings last time?

What you get

A clear answer, not a 40-page report.

  1. Your overall score, and which of the four stages of retreat sales you're at.
  2. A score for each of the five stages, so you can see where you're strong and where you're leaking.
  3. The one stage losing you the most people, with three things to do about it this week.
  4. A copy of your report by email, so you can come back to it before your next launch.

If you'd like help with what it shows, you can book a free 30-minute audit call from your results. You don't have to.

40 to 59

Leaking

The system is there. The question is what it's telling you.

Danny Savage, founder of The Product Ladder

Who built it

Built by someone who has sold a lot of retreat places.

I'm Danny Savage. I've run 40+ retreats and more than 250 live events over 20 years. In my last business we never sold a retreat place without a conversation first, and one customer spent over $100,000 with us across four years, through our programme and eight retreats.

Most founders I speak to think they have a marketing problem. When we look at what happens to their enquiries, it's usually a follow-up problem. I built this quiz so you can see which one you have in three minutes, without a call.

Questions

Before you start

How long does it take?

12 multiple-choice questions, about three minutes. There's nothing to prepare.

Is it free?

Yes. The quiz and your report are free.

Do I need to give my email?

At the end, so we can send you your report. You'll also get occasional retreat sales tips from The Product Ladder, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

I haven't run a retreat yet. Is it still useful?

If you're already taking enquiries, yes. If you're not, it shows you what to have in place before the first one arrives.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. Your report is yours whether or not you ever speak to me. If you want help with what it shows, there's an option to book a free call. Most people just take the report and get on with it.

What happens to my answers?

They stay with The Product Ladder. Anonymised, combined results may be used in our content, like the numbers on this page. Your name is never attached to them.
